A big thank you to Lucy-Ferriby-Stocks (ON 2016-2018) who came back to give a talk to students about her job as a Freelance Broadcast Journalist and Reporter.
Lucy talked about her time at Warwick University studying Politics and International Studies followed by an MA in International Security. She also spoke about taking a year out to work and how it gave her an insight into the job she wouldn’t want to do!
Lucy’s interest in politics and career in journalism has given her some great experiences, one of which was working on the Leadership Debate between Rishi Sunak and Keir Starmer, when it came to Nottingham during the 2024 Election.
Just one of the pieces of advice Lucy gave - Don’t be disappointed with the ‘Nos’, they might lead to other opportunities!
Thank you Lucy!
