Chris Calladine joined Nottingham High School in 1945 on a County Scholarship. He was in Maples’ House and his tutor was E F Collander-Brown.

During his time at School, Chris was a Lance Corporal in the CCF, he was Cox for the 1st IV Rowing Team, he played the organ and was Editor of the School Magazine.

In 1952 Chris was awarded Dr Turpin’s Prize for Science.

On leaving Nottingham High School, Chris was awarded an Open Scholarship in Mathematics and Physics to Peterhouse College Cambridge and read engineering from October 1953.

Chris was an Emeritus Professor of Peterhouse and a member of the teaching staff of the faculty of engineering for 42 years. An obituary for Chris can be found on the Peterhouse website – Professor Christopher Calladine Obituary

Chris and his wife Mary attended the Class of 1945-1955 Reunion at School in March 2023 and photographs from this reunion can be found here.
