It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Len Burdell (ON 1961-1971).
Len joined the Prep School in 1961 and was in Hardy's House until 1964. He then joined the Senior School and was in Maples’ House.
At school, Len was in the rowing team and was Vice-Captain of Boats. He was involved in swimming, was in the CCF (Royal Navy) and was a House Prefect.
It was in June this year that Len and several friends from the Class of 1971 visited the school for lunch and a tour. It was during this tour that Len discovered that his name was still a wall under the stage in the Player Hall. Still there over 50 years later!
