The event honoured the sacrifices of those who served and fell during WWII, and in particular our ONs, while also celebrating Nottingham High School’s rich history through treasured items from the archive. The School community shared moving memories, offering students a living connection to the past.
Yvette Gunther, our Archivist spoke about the importance of remembrance and unity, while showcasing newly preserved historical materials that link our present to our past. Our Year 4 students participated with great enthusiasm, engaging with our guests and sparking interesting conversation that reflected both respect and hope.
A heartfelt thank you goes to our uniformed cadets, who supported the event with dignity and pride, playing a key role in the ceremonial aspects of the day.
It was a powerful moment of reflection, learning, and togetherness — a true tribute to the enduring values of courage, peace, and community.
